We are in the midst of a pandemic. The future is not clear and most of us are feeling some combination of anxiety, fear, anger, depression – you name it.
But, we have to “keep keepin on.”
If you are a note holder contemplating the sale of your note, but just aren’t sure given what is going on, may I suggest you ask yourself a few questions:
- Why do I need or want cash?
- What are my possible sources for this cash?
- If I sell an asset I own – stock, bond, real estate, etc. – would this provide the best outcome for me?
- If I can borrow money – get a loan – is that a viable option in my circumstances?
- If I sell my note, am I comfortable giving up whatever gain I perceive for my future?
- Would it be smarter for me to sell my note rather than borrow money or sell another asset?
If my answer to #6 is Yes, I need to call Denny, get an offer for my note, and make a decision.
