Realtor.com, June 2022 Report
Meanwhile, the National Association of Realtors reports that home listings nationwide have jumped as sellers worry they may miss out on the red-hot housing market. The supply of homes for sale jumped 9% last month compared with the same period one year ago. This is the biggest annual gain recorded since it began tracking this metric in 2017. But sellers clearly see the market softening as pending home sales dropped almost 4% in April from March, and down just over 9% from April 2021. This marks the sixth straight month of sales declines and the slowest pace in nearly a decade.
